Let me write. It feels so simple. And the only thing that stops anyone from just writing is the measure of success.

Because if we want recognition, we have to go out and be louder, do the work. If we want connection, we have to be present for that, be vulnerable beyond the page.

I write books because I enjoy writing them, editing them, tweaking and relieving them, and talking about the ideas in them.

What I think sucks our souls is the HUSTLE. Keeping up with all the other people that want to write, connect, find recognition full time. Oh and also for money.

If success is enjoying writing, though, we’re already crushing it.

You’ve been telling us all along, haven’t you?

I was never meant to explain the work or the storyteller behind it. I was meant to enter before I understood, follow what stirred, and place back what was mine for someone else to find. So much of the understanding found me later. Eventually, your words begin to read differently.
